Blue Springs homes are listed in Heartland MLS, owned and run by KCRAR, the Kansas City Regional Association of REALTORS. By KCRAR's count the service has more than 12,000 subscribers and participants, reaches 50 Kansas and Missouri counties and five more in northeast Oklahoma, and recorded over 41,100 transactions worth nearly $15.3 billion during 2025 (kcrar.com).

Those subscriber counts are the MLS's own measure. This file counts only the 90 agents whose Blue Springs address we read where a brokerage or firm publishes it.

Jackson County values after the 2023 reassessment

In August 2024 the Missouri State Tax Commission ordered Jackson County to roll back 2023 assessments that rose more than 15%, finding the county had not properly notified owners or physically inspected those properties (KSHB).

A superseding commission order of May 22, 2025 capped 2023 values at 15% over 2022 and held 2025 reassessments to 15% above that figure, and the county said it would comply. The county assessor began mailing 2025 value change notices on June 5, 2025, with appeals due by July 14, 2025.

KCUR reported in January 2026 that the rollback reached roughly three out of every four properties across Jackson County.

Blue Springs short-term rental registration

Ahead of the 2026 World Cup summer, the Blue Springs City Council voted 4 to 3 to make short-term rental hosts register with the city every year, name a local contact, follow noise and parking rules and collect the city's hotel tax, with fines of up to $500 per violation (KSHB).

On Adams Dairy Parkway, the council approved a concept plan for 252 apartments and four retail sites at Napoleon Drive, with construction expected to begin in 2027, KSHB reported. Census Bureau figures put Blue Springs at 61,632 residents as of July 1, 2025, and the median owner-occupied home value at $263,100 for 2020 to 2024.
