Privacy & Opt-out

This policy explains what information US Realtor List holds, why, and how anyone — including a real estate professional listed in our database — can have their information removed.
1. Information we hold
For real estate professionals, we hold business contact information collected from publicly accessible sources (brokerage and franchise websites and directories; real estate businesses' own websites; and state real estate license registers, which we use only to count licensees and to know whose brokerage pages to look for; register contact addresses are not included in the lists we sell): name, brokerage, business email address, business phone number, office city and state, producer-award tier, and links to public professional profiles. We do not knowingly collect government identifiers, financial information, or sensitive personal information.
For customers, we collect the email address you give at checkout (if you took a free sample here first, we pass that address to our payment processor, Stripe, so you don't type it again), and the payment confirmation Stripe provides, in order to deliver your purchase and provide receipts and support. If you start a checkout and do not finish it, we may send you one note with a link back to it. We never see or store card numbers.
2. Why we hold it
We compile this business contact information to provide business-to-business sales-lead lists. Every record relates to an individual in their professional, business capacity, or to a real estate business itself. Every agent's email address in a file is published by the agent's own brokerage, on a public profile or roster page; a business address (marked "Business website" in the file) is published by the real estate firm on its own website. State real estate license registers are read only to count licensees, and their addresses are never sold. Nothing is appended from data brokers or guessed from name patterns.
3. How the information is shared
We provide purchased lists to paying customers under terms that prohibit resale, republication, and unlawful use. We do not sell or share customer (buyer) personal information for marketing. We use service providers — Netlify (hosting), Stripe (payments), and Resend (email delivery) — strictly to operate the Service.
4. Your opt-out rights
Any individual may, at any time, ask us to access, correct, or remove their information. To opt out and be removed from the database:
- Email hello@usrealtorlist.com with the name and/or email address to remove.
- We will remove the record within 10 business days and add it to a suppression list so it is not collected again.
- Note: we cannot recall lists already delivered to customers before your request, but removal stops further distribution.
5. Retention & security
We keep business contact data only as long as it remains useful for the Service; the roster is re-collected on a schedule and records that leave their public profiles leave the database. We apply reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information (which is business contact information).
6. Cookies & analytics
The site is intentionally lightweight. We do not use advertising trackers. Our payment processor may set cookies necessary to complete checkout.
7. Agent Verify (Shopify app)
Agent Verify is a free Shopify app published by US Realtor List. It tells a store which of its customers are US real estate agents. This section describes exactly what it does with a store's data.
- What it reads: each customer's ID, tags and email address, through Shopify's API, with the store's permission. It does not read names, phone numbers, addresses or orders.
- How it matches: the email address is lowercased, hashed (SHA-256) and looked up in an index of hashed agent email addresses. This happens in memory on our app server (verify.usrealtorlist.com, hosted by Netlify). The address is not written to disk or logs.
- What it writes: on a match, the tag agent-verified and the agent's brokerage, city, state, source and "listed as of" month, onto that customer in the store's own Shopify admin. Nothing else leaves the app.
- What it stores: no customer data. It keeps the store's encrypted access token, its settings, and counts of how many customers were checked and matched (an access log without addresses). Logs are deleted after 12 months.
- What it never does: add a store's customers to US Realtor List's data, use them for marketing or any other purpose, or share them with anyone. The app server has no connection to our agent database.
- Deletion: Shopify's customer data requests and redactions are recorded and answered (the app holds no customer data to return or erase). When a store uninstalls, its access token is deleted at once and everything else about the store within 48 hours of Shopify's shop redaction request.
- Service providers: Netlify (hosting). No other provider receives the store's data.

8. Agent Lookup (Google Sheets add-on)
Agent Lookup is a free Google Sheets add-on published by US Realtor List. It marks which email addresses in a sheet belong to US real estate agents. This section describes exactly what it does with your data.
- What it reads: the cells of the one column you choose, in the sheet the add-on is opened in (Google's "current sheet only" permission). It cannot open your other files.
- What leaves the sheet: for each address, the first 8 bytes of its SHA-256 hash, computed inside Google. No email address is sent to us. With it goes a Google sign-in token from which we read only your account's unique id, to apply the daily limit.
- What it writes: six new columns in that sheet with the lookup results. Nothing else is changed.
- What we store: a count of rows checked per day, under a keyed hash of your account id (see below), deleted within two days; and daily totals with no account ids. Never an address, a hash we were sent, a sheet or your Google profile.
- What we never do: add anything from your sheet to US Realtor List's data, use it for marketing, sell it, or share it with anyone.
- Google user data: Agent Lookup's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
- Service providers: Netlify (hosting the lookup at verify.usrealtorlist.com). No other provider receives data from the add-on.
How we protect it
- In transit: the add-on sends data only to https://verify.usrealtorlist.com, over HTTPS (TLS). Its manifest allows no other address.
- At rest: the daily counts are kept in Netlify Blobs, which Netlify encrypts at rest and in transit, and which can only be read through our own site.
- Your account id: never stored. We keep only a keyed hash of it (HMAC-SHA-256 with a secret key that exists only on our server), which can't be linked back to your account without that key.
- Deletion: a scheduled job runs every day and deletes each per-user count once its day is over and the next day has passed, so none is kept longer than two days. Daily totals, which hold no account ids, are deleted after 12 months.
- Access: the lookup answers only requests that carry a Google sign-in token issued for Agent Lookup. Only the Netlify account that runs our sites can read the stored counts and the lookup's logs.
- Logs: our lookup server writes no log lines of its own, so the hashes you send, your account id and its hashed form never appear in its logs. The add-on's error messages are fixed text and contain none of them either.
- If something goes wrong: if we learn of a security breach affecting data from the add-on, we will publish a notice on this page and tell Google. We hold no contact details for add-on users, so we can't reach you individually.
