Agents are people. "Business" counts the addresses read on real estate firms' own websites, often an office or team inbox; a city file holds both.

How the Arkansas file is checked

Every address in the Arkansas file was read on a public web page between Sep 16, 2026 and Oct 8, 2026, and a row is sold only when that page shows the email. 2,725 rows (88%) come from brokerage rosters and 368 are business addresses read on real estate firms' own websites, often an office or team inbox, counted apart from the agents.

Firms with hundreds of Arkansas licensees

Commission records as of May 22, 2026, compiled by Arkansas Money & Politics (armoneyandpolitics.com), count each firm's licensees, branches included. Keller Williams Market Pro Realty in Fayetteville leads with 383. Next come Keller Williams Realty in Little Rock (316), Weichert Realtors The Griffin Co. in Springdale (312) and Coldwell Banker Harris McHaney & Faucette in Rogers (302).

The list also includes Collier & Associates (277) and Lindsey & Associates (223) in Fayetteville, and McGraw Realtors (226) in Fort Smith.

Principal, executive and associate brokers

In a May 2022 report to the legislature, the commission described its license tiers: every firm must have a principal broker and every other licensee must affiliate with one; an executive broker can supervise associate brokers and salespersons, and an associate broker may not supervise other licensees. A license number starts with PB, EB, AB or SA, for principal, executive and associate brokers and salespersons.

As of October 2026, the commission lists 60 classroom hours for a salesperson license, 30 of them in the basic principles of real estate, and for a broker license 60 hours, 45 of them in its own broker prelicense course, plus at least 24 months as an active licensee within the previous 48.

The May 2022 report counted 2,096 principal brokers, 1,726 executive brokers, 460 associate brokers and 8,542 active salespersons, with 376 brokers and 1,863 salespersons holding inactive licenses. It lists an annual renewal, and for 2025 the commission required 7 hours of continuing education from active licensees by December 31, 2025.

The National Association of REALTORS counted 11,251 members in Arkansas in 2023. Its Arkansas count rose every year from 2012, when it stood at 6,399, and in 2023 it grew from 10,881 while the national total fell.

Arkansas boards and MLSs: CARMLS and ArkansasONE

The Arkansas REALTORS Association counts 26 local member boards, some of which provide local MLS access through membership. CARMLS, which calls itself the largest MLS in Arkansas, listed 6,268 members and 955 brokerages on its site in October 2026 and says it represents listings in every county in the state (carmls.com).

The Northwest Arkansas Board of REALTORS, which has served agents since 1944, runs the ArkansasONE MLS. The board's figures for August 2026 show 542 closed residential sales in Benton County at an average price of $471,528 and an average of 59 days on the market, and 312 in Washington County at $476,725 and 45 days.

Northwest Arkansas: population growth and new construction

By the Census Bureau's 2025 estimates, the Fayetteville-Springdale-Rogers metro grew 2.4% in a year to 622,177 people and ranked as the ninth-fastest-growing US metro area, while the Little Rock metro grew 0.6% to 777,607. The Northwest Arkansas Council counted roughly 40 new residents a day between 2024 and 2025, and growth of 41% since 2010.

In the first half of 2026, 1,870 of the 5,241 homes sold in Northwest Arkansas were new construction (35.7%), and sales rose 3.8% on the first half of 2025. The average price fell 1.2% to $465,888 in Benton County and rose 1.5% to $423,750 in Washington County. The figures come from Arvest Bank's Skyline Report, researched by the University of Arkansas Center for Business and Economic Research, whose director, Mervin Jebaraj, described the market as "more of a buyer's market than a seller's market" (Talk Business & Politics).

AdAlert citations, Act 392 and the transfer tax

Since July 1, 2025, licensees and consumers can report an ad through the commission's AdAlert program, and a noncompliant ad brings the agent a $100 citation. The commission's Winter 2025 newsletter counted almost 100 citations for advertising violations and said each report is checked for, among other things, the full firm name, which a team name cannot replace, and a way to contact the firm directly.

Act 392 of 2025 establishes a property management broker license and a property management associate license, with property management courses and exams to be developed; in early December 2025 the commission's proposed rule updates for it were still under the Governor's review. Act 835 of the same year clarifies dual agency.

As of October 2026, the Department of Finance and Administration lists the state's real property transfer tax at $3.30 per $1,000 of actual consideration.
