What the Indianapolis inboxes look like

94% of the Indianapolis rows carry a phone number, and 46% of them are on the sender's own business domain rather than a free mailbox; 65 use Gmail, Yahoo or similar.

44 profiles carry the title Associate Broker. Indiana licenses every agent as a broker, with no separate salesperson license, so 'broker' in a title here is the standard license, not a senior rank.

Who sells real estate in Indianapolis

Keller Williams is the biggest name in Indianapolis. Its 141 agents make up 30% of the city's branded agents, a share that falls to 16% statewide, where Century 21 and RE/MAX lead.

Every Century 21 agent we hold in the city works for one company, CENTURY 21 Scheetz (78 agents), whose agents write from their own domain rather than a national one.

Coldwell Banker is the odd gap. 562 of its agents are on file in Indiana, 186 of them in Fort Wayne, and none with an Indianapolis office address; its nearest are in Carmel (32) and Greenwood (17).

How the Indianapolis file is checked

Every address in the Indianapolis file was read on a public web page between Sep 16, 2026 and Oct 8, 2026, and a row is sold only when that page shows the email. 471 rows (93%) come from brokerage rosters and 35 are business addresses read on real estate firms' own websites, often an office or team inbox, counted apart from the agents.

What keeps Indianapolis agents busy

Relocation is the first driver. Eli Lilly, headquartered downtown, has committed more than $21 billion to Indiana sites since 2020, much of it at new plants in the LEAP district near Lebanon in Boone County, a short drive northwest of the city. People hired for those jobs look for homes across the metro, which is where relocation, mortgage and moving companies meet the agents in this file.

New construction is the second. Hamilton County, north of the city, files more single-family building permits than any other county in central Indiana, most of them in Noblesville and Westfield, so a share of the region's agents spend their days on builder contracts and new subdivisions rather than resales.

Investors are the third. A January 2025 study by the Fair Housing Center of Central Indiana found investors own about 48% of the single-family rental homes in Marion County, and out-of-state investors 21.9%. Agents who work with investors, property managers and the inspectors and title companies around them are a market of their own here.

Almost all of these agents list through MIBOR, the central Indiana REALTOR association founded in 1912, whose BLC listing service covers 14 counties and nearly 10,000 members (mibor.com). The 473 Indianapolis agents in this file are the ones whose brokerage publishes their email, not the full membership.

Indianapolis against the rest of Indiana

Indianapolis is the state capital and its largest city, yet it is not the largest file in Indiana: Fort Wayne holds 639 agents on file to Indianapolis's 473. Part of the reason is the metro: agents who sell in Indianapolis often work from offices in the suburbs, and their profiles give that office town. The other part is Fort Wayne's own market, where Coldwell Banker and Century 21 have large rosters.

Counted with its suburbs, the metro holds 1,591 agents: Carmel 496, Greenwood 427, Fishers 134, Zionsville 61. Each of those towns has its own file.

Does the Indianapolis file include Carmel, Fishers and the other suburbs?
No. An agent is filed under the town of their office, and 4 suburbs have files of their own, led by Carmel (496 agents), Greenwood (427 agents), Fishers (134 agents). Buy them alongside the Indianapolis file, or take the whole Indiana file, which holds every one of them.

Mostly company email: 46% of the Indianapolis rows are on the sender's own business domain, while 65 of 508 sit on Gmail, Yahoo or another free service.
Are office inboxes counted as agents in the Indianapolis file?
No. This file counts 473 agents plus 35 business addresses, emails read on real estate firms' own websites, often an office or team inbox. The Data Source column marks each business address, so you can keep or drop them.
