What an Ohio agent's address looks like, brand by brand

Almost every RE/MAX agent in the Ohio file writes from remax.net (1,697 of 1,728). The kw.com domain carries most of the Keller Williams agents here (2,167 of 2,814). Coldwell Banker agents are split: no one domain covers half of them, and the company domains they use most are cbrealty.com (1,180), kingthompson.com (404), cbws.com (316) and cbishome.com (280). Among Century 21 agents gmail.com comes first, with 696 of 1,205.

93% of the Ohio rows carry a phone number beside the email. 534 Ohio rows first appeared in our walk in October 2026. They are additions to our file; nothing in them shows the agents or offices behind them are new.

How the Ohio file is checked

Every address in the Ohio file was read on a public web page between Sep 16, 2026 and Oct 8, 2026, and a row is sold only when that page shows the email. 11,128 rows (96%) come from brokerage rosters and 511 are business addresses read on real estate firms' own websites, often an office or team inbox, counted apart from the agents.

Ohio REALTORS and a Columbus MLS running since 1955

Ohio REALTORS, formed in 1910, gives its membership as more than 35,000 on its website as of October 2026 and describes itself as the state's largest professional trade association. That is a membership figure, not a count of Ohio's licensees.

Columbus REALTORS, founded in 1908, described itself in October 2026 as a trade association of 9,400+ real estate professionals. It wholly owns the Columbus and Central Ohio Regional MLS, which has been in use since 1955 and links more than 700 cooperating real estate offices.

Ohio home sales and prices, 2025 into 2026

Ohio REALTORS counted 126,015 home sales statewide in 2025, 1% more than the 124,446 of 2024, at an average price of $256,775, up 6% from $243,167. In June 2026 its tally was 13,078 sales, up 5.6% on June 2025, at a median of $285,000, up 3.6%. Active listings stood at 37,492, against 36,787 in June 2025 and 31,717 in June 2024, a supply of 3.54 months (Ohio REALTORS).

In Central Ohio, the Columbus REALTORS MLS closed 29,626 sales in 2025, up 3.0%, at a median of $327,500, up 2.4%, for a record $11.1 billion in volume. Its 37,130 new listings were 7.4% more than in 2024, and inventory closed the year at 4,440 homes, a rise of 14.2%. August 2026 brought a median of $345,500 in the area, 2.2% above August 2025, and 2,749 closed sales, 2.5% fewer. Inventory was 6,124 homes, up 6.8%, or 2.4 months; median days on market were 30, and sellers received 96.9% of their original list price on average, against 97.2% a year before (Columbus REALTORS).

Ohio's salesperson and broker licenses after House Bill 238

As of October 2026, the licensing school Aceable says an Ohio salesperson candidate needs a sponsoring broker before taking the exam, and another school, Hondros, wrote in March 2025 that a broker must first work as a salesperson for at least two years and close at least 20 transactions.

Both schools report that House Bill 238, in force since April 9, 2025, cut salesperson pre-licensing education from 120 hours to 100; Hondros adds that the law removed the 90 college credit hours that brokers had needed.

Ohio's conveyance fee and the seller's disclosure form

The County Commissioners Association of Ohio's handbook, last revised in November 2012, says each county collects a statewide mandatory conveyance fee of 1 mill (10 cents per $100 of value) and may levy a permissive transfer tax of up to 3 mills on top, for a combined maximum of 4 mills.

As of October 2026, Lucas County, which includes Toledo, charges a conveyance fee of $4.00 per $1,000 of the sale price, or 4 mills (Lucas County Auditor).

As of October 2026, guides from the law firm N.P. Weiss Law and from DocJacket both say the seller of an Ohio home with one to four units must give the buyer a disclosure form, and a buyer who gets it only after signing the contract has three business days to cancel.

Questions about the Ohio file

Answered with this build's Ohio numbers and the sources above.

Which Ohio counties does the Columbus REALTORS MLS cover?
All of Franklin, Delaware, Fayette, Licking, Madison, Marion, Morrow, Pickaway and Union counties, plus parts of Athens, Champaign, Clark, Clinton, Fairfield, Hocking, Knox, Logan, Muskingum, Perry and Ross, as the association listed them in October 2026.
Does an Ohio buyer's agent need a written agreement first?
Yes, for most real estate activities. In May 2025 the Ohio Division of Real Estate and Professional Licensing reminded homebuyers that, under House Bill 466, a buyer's agent must have a written agency agreement, including the amount and terms of the agent's compensation, before conducting most real estate activities and transactions for a client.
Who pays the county transfer tax when an Ohio home is sold?
The grantor of the deed. The County Commissioners Association of Ohio's handbook, last revised in November 2012, says a county's permissive transfer tax is paid by the grantor when the county auditor transfers the deed, before the county recorder records it.
Can I buy the Cincinnati or Columbus agents without the rest of Ohio?
Yes. Cincinnati and Columbus are two of the 53 Ohio city files, and each city file can be bought by itself. Together those files take in 8,821 email addresses; the other 2,818 of the 11,639 Ohio rows are in no city file and are sold with the statewide list.
Do Ohio agents use Gmail or business email addresses?
Mostly business domains: free mail services such as Gmail and Yahoo account for 29% of the Ohio rows. Even so, counting every Ohio row, gmail.com is the single most common domain, with 2,735 addresses, ahead of kw.com with 2,172.
